Social activities are considered an integral part of life for a program like International Master in Tourism & Leisure, which relies on the passion and enthusiasm of its participants.

Forming groups outside the classroom means sharing experiences with international colleagues completing other Masters programs, meeting over the weekend for activities sponsored by the School or between students.

All of these moments, in which the competitive climate of the classroom leaves space for friendship provide the fundamental cross-cultural and multi-ethnic experience that few schools outside of MIB can guarantee.

MIB IMTL Interview
If since the first day at MIB I immediately felt close to my schoolmates, is mainly thanks to the activities organized by the staff of the school, starting from the really first day at Lignano, when we still didn’t know each other at all, to the Trieste trip organized by Mr. Pilotto the first weekend, useful in getting closer and closer; from the three days spent in Austria skiing and enjoying thermal baths at the end of January, to BIT Fair in Milan at the end of February; from ITB in Berlin at the beginning of March to the two days in Bled in the middle of April where we had the chance to visit the Bled School of Management and get to know other students from other part of Europe; last but not least the Ball at the end of April held in the main hall of MIB, a perfect ceremony to close in a great way the academic year. I consider my class a special one because since the beginning we felt like a family, no one excluded!

The school organizes evenings dedicated to culture (theatre, cinema, conferences), and for fun, food, and music. These activities involve not only International Master in Tourism & Leisure participants but also participants from other programs, teaching staff and graduates from past years.

During the weekends, there are opportunities to visit Trieste, located on the Adriatic coast, and not far from the Alps, Venice and Lubljana.

Sports play an important role at MIB; the School organizes soccer tournaments between different Master’s programmes, chess matches, sailing outings, and ski weekends in the nearby Alps.

International Master in Tourism & Leisure - Interview

"The Master was not only an educational experience taking place during class hours, company visits, fairs, interviews, and meetings. International Master in Tourism & Leisure was also the time spent with colleagues, going out together, parties... mexican, indian, italian, turkish nights...every time we met there was a different taste. An incredible variety of culture that is mixed together and united for a year leaving us with incredible memories. In the future working in tourism, I will have to travel a lot, but I know that I have friends all over the world."
